Its my understanding (mostly from your stories :)) that it is the responsibility of the pilot not flying (the co-pilot, for most part during this flight that was Terry) to keep track of position and navigation, is it not?

Although it certainly seems that Dorman had a lot of trouble getting certified, it seems that he wasn´t the pilot to blame for this incident, even though the intro does imply that he was.

The "competent pilot Terry seems to have made a huge mess of everything that was his responsibility up to, and including, the point where he took control of the aircraft. Which at this point was already heading away from the airport, following navigation that took place under his responsibility, did it not?

Maybe I misunderstood how responsibilities are divided during flight, but if I did not, I think a much bigger point should be made that Terry was responsible for most of that which went wrong. Especially given the intro that Dorman received, that strongly implies he was the one most responsible....
